According to Cycling Victoria the number of riders has increased significantly in the last five years. Bicycle Victoria states that a steady increase in bike riding commenced some ten years ago. Bicycle Victoria promotes “ride to work” day (12th October 2011) Well, with all those bikes and with positive campaigns reinforcing the value of bike riding, who is thinking about secure bike racks? Can CBD residents feel safe leaving their bikes in basement car parks. Who is responsible? Is anybody listening to the bicycle rider?
